Creative Wellbeing Professional
Hello, I am a post graduate qualified Photomedia Artist, Holistic Educator and registered Yoga Teacher living and working in Melbourne and the Dandenong Ranges, Australia.
I am passionate about child centred holistic learning and cosmic education; integrating my love of nature, the arts and yoga to create progressive programs that nurture childhood wellbeing and support families. I believe in the culture of childhood and the power of an authentic, conscious education.
I am a dedicated home educator with over fifteen years experience using creative inquiry based methods. Also having worked in the Early Years sector where I was trained in the Reggio Emilia Approach.
I have undertaken many professional developments in the arts, education and health fields, including the inspiring seminars 'Theory and Practice of Holistic, Child Centred Education' with Shaun McGurgan, 'Creativity in the Classroom' with Joshua Yeldham and 'Herbal Medicine Making' with the Chestnut School of Herbs.
I was the founder of See Through Me; a photomedia storytelling charity for disadvantaged women and children operating locally, interstate and overseas with communities to deliver creative wellbeing projects. This work received regional art funding, corporate product sponsorship, private donations and cultural development awards.
In the past I have been nominated for the Sally Isaac memorial prize, Alumni of the year and have been a finalist in several art competitions and exhibitions. In my undergraduate course I received a travel grant and UMAP scholarship to study in Asia. I am writing about the therapeutic perspectives of Reading Art With Kids.
I hold professional insurance, working with children's check, current first aid and child protection training.
